INDIANA PUBLIC ADJUSTER LICENSE COURSE

IMPORTANT NOTICE - The state of Indiana changed their exam content outline as of July 17, 2018 (latest state exam update).  

We have updated our online Virtual Classroom program, our online course curriculum, and our online exam simulator questions to reflect those changes.

 Register and Schedule Public Adjuster Exam (PAN) - *Must also request certificate to take exam prior to exam by emailing agentlicensing@idoi.in.gov. Please include name in email as it appears on your driver's license.*

 

A Public Adjuster renders advice or assistance to the insured in the adjustment of a claim or claims for loss or damages under any policy of insurance covering real or personal property and any person or corporation who, or which, advertises, solicits business, or holds itself out to the public as an adjuster of such claims. Indiana residents desiring an Public Adjuster license must:

 

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a resident of Indiana
  • Be determined to be trustworthy, reliable, and of good reputation
  • Not have committed any act that is a ground for denial, suspension or revocation of a license
  • Have successfully completed the written Public Adjuster examination (no pre-licensing education required) - Link to Exam Registration/Scheduling Instructions *Must also request a certificate to take exam prior to exam by emailing agentlicensing@idoi.in.gov. Please include your name in the email as it appears on your driver's license.*
  • Submit the appropriate forms, application, and nonrefundable fees for the desired license (applications may be submitted through Sircon.com, or the uniform NAIC paper application)
  • Proof of $10,000 surety bond for the state of Indiana not more than six (6) months old

The license fee for a resident is $50.00. There is also an electronic processing fee.
