New York Independent Fire Adjuster (Series 17-64) Course

The state of New York changed exam vendors from Prometric to PSI as of April 1, 2019.

 

WHAT TYPE OF CLAIMS CAN I HANDLE WITH THIS LICENSE?

(1) Persons who hold the Fire Adjuster license shall have the authority to investigate and adjuster all claims arising under policies of fire insurance, miscellaneous property damage insurance, water damage insurance and collision insurance.

(2) This license allows the adjuster to adjust claims involving Fire, Wind, Sewer Backup and Flood with an NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program) certification.

(3) PLEASE NOTE: If one wants to adjust theft, personal liability or personal inland marine claims, consideration should be given to the New York Independent General Adjuster license (Series 17-70).
