About Insurance Schools, Inc.

OUR HISTORY

1987 - Insurance Schools, Inc. was founded in Charleston, WV to meet the needs of those looking to obtain various insurance licenses. Courses were held in-person in the meeting rooms of hotels and open to the public. Course instructors and curriculum writers were hired who hold many insurance designations such as the AIC, CPCU, CLU, and ChFC.

1990 - Major insurance companies, agencies, adjuster firms and third-party administrators begin hiring Insurance Schools to provide prelicensing, exam prep, and continuing education courses on-site all over the United States. There are few insurance carriers in the United States that have not used Insurance Schools over the years for prelicensing or continuing education and training.

1999 - Insurance Schools builds a website and begins selling printed books and practice exam CDs online.

2000 - We restructured our website and began offering prelicensing and continuing education courses delivered online. This is something completely new to the insurance industry. We continued building relationships with most of the major insurance companies, agencies, and third-party administrators creating customized prelicensing, exam prep, and continuing education.

2011 - Insurance Schools moved our home office to the Charlotte, NC area where we have continued to grow.
